Student wellbeing data deserves careful handling. Here’s how we protect it.
Our Approach
Elysian handles sensitive information, including mood check-ins and wellbeing responses from students. We’ve built the platform with that responsibility in mind from day one.
Encryption in Transit & at Rest
All data sent between your device and our servers is encrypted using TLS. Stored data, including backups, is encrypted using AES-256 by default.
Secure Infrastructure
We host on established cloud infrastructure with automatic security patching, network-level protections, and uptime monitoring built in.
Role-Based Access
Students, teachers, and school administrators each see only what’s relevant to their role. Individual student responses are not visible to other students.
Data Minimization
We collect what’s needed to support student wellbeing and class management, and nothing more. We don’t sell data or use student information for advertising.
Secure Authentication
Login and account security are handled by a dedicated authentication system, reducing the risk of common vulnerabilities found in custom-built login flows.
Active Monitoring
We monitor the platform in real time, so issues are surfaced and addressed quickly.

Our data handling and access controls are designed with FERPA principles in mind, supporting schools in meeting their own obligations.

Elysian currently serves students aged 13 and older, with support for younger students planned as we grow.
